Luggage Tags
I decided to keep making small sewn gifts here and there, including these luggage tags, to thank several ladies for their contributions to wedding planning and decorations help. As the number of wedding-related events and helpers continues to grow, so does the need for sewn gifts.
I scoured the Internet for cute, sewn gifts that aren't terribly difficult or time-consuming for a neophyte, time-crunched bride to be. The sewing instructions for these tags seemed simple enough:

When it came to putting the two pieces together, though, things got a little messy. You may be able to tell, even from these small-ish pictures, that my stitches aren't quite straight, and apparently my fabric cutting skills are lacking as well. If there's a pattern that sews together front and back inside out, I think that would look much neater, especially for someone like me whose stitches aren't very pretty. The last few did turn out better once I figured out to sew one half, trace that half onto the other two pieces, then sew them together. That way, they're more likely to be the same size and match up better when I sew them together.
Anyway, I worked hard on these and have no reason to keep them for myself, so I think they're just going to have to be given away. I apologize in advance to my recipients. The craftsmanship of these luggage tags is no indication of how appreciative I am for your help. Now on to another gift I hope I can sew much more neatly...
