Shirt with Wide Neckline

I used some fabric my Mom had given me a while back to make this shirt.  I bought a commercial pattern to make this.  The neck opening was surprisingly wide (not at all like in the picture), but I went with it anyway.  I also tried to use bias tape for the first time.  It was okay, but I have no idea how to finish the seam.  I ended up coming up short and tried to tack on a small piece to cover the gap (welcome to Amateur Hour!).  I think I need to fix that for a future project.  It looks pretty bad.  But it's a comfy shirt that I wear around the house and sometimes in public.
