Granville Flannel Shirt
I'd been craving a flannel plaid shirt for a while and finally found a fabric online that I loved. Normally, flannel would be much too hot for Hawaii, but since the State Capitol is usually overly air conditioned, this shirt is perfect for casual Fridays. Next time, though, I won't try to sew this, which means trying flannel on, in the middle of summer.
I was so excited to make this shirt that I didn't take pictures while sewing. It's also been several months since I've completed this shirt, so I don't even remember some of the problems I encountered.
From what I can remember, this was a pretty understandable pattern. It was considerably easier after having done Aster, but those sleeve plackets I tried with Aster still baffled me. As you can see in the picture, I rolled up my sleeves because I didn't get the placket placement right (again).
Still, this was my first collared shirt, and I wear it all the time. Looking forward to making another out of cooler material :)
