Kimono Chic Jacket
June 2015
I used a pattern from a library book. This is actually phase I of this project because I don't like how this one turned out. It called for a 2-inch facing for the neckline, jacket front, and sleeves, but when I tried to attach it, it was a disaster. I scrapped all of it and went with black bias tape.
The shape of the back is nice, but from the front, the neckline is all wavy and doesn't lie right. I'm going to have to redo the facing.
**Update** Redid the facing, although this was super hard to do! The facing kept twisting as I went around the top. Maybe I was pulling the fabric unevenly? At a few points, I had to just twist it so that the rest would line up better. Looks bad, but I didn't know what else to do.
Weird twisting
I'm happier with this facing than I am with the bias tape. I actually wore this out in public :)
